Alumeco acquires the activities of Alumar B.V
Alumeco Group has acquired the main activities of Alumar B.V as of 1st June 2021. This will make Alumeco capable of offering a wide range of profiles for the marine industry alongside the existing portfolio of marine shates.
Alumar was founded in 1993 and has grown into a leading stockholder of aluminium products and an important supplier to the marine industry.
“We have a continuous focus on creating competitive advantages for our customers. This acquisition expands our product portfolio in the Netherlands and the geographical footprint in Netherlands, which is a great advantage to us. It could also benefit other members of the Alumeco Group,” says Per Thanning Johansen, CEO of the Alumeco Group.
Ted van den Broek, Director of Alumeco NL, elaborates: “Alumeco already has a strong position in the Dutch market, but this acquisition will strengthen us further. We are now able to offer 6082 profiles in addition to shates, and our lead times will be shorter than before. This will benefit our current customers and our new customers from Alumar.”
